WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 17, 2023) -- In their final match before the 2023 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Championships this weekend, the King's College men's golf team dropped a tri-match, falling to Wilkes University and Misericordia University at Huntsville Golf Club on Monday afternoon.
 
The Monarchs carded a round of 347 to fall one stroke behind Misericordia (346) and five behind Wilkes (342). Misericordia's Colin Bowanko and Wilkes' Cole Jungwirth tied for individual medalist honors, posting a round of 80 (+8) on the par-72 course.
 
King's was led by Tyler Faux who finished fourth overall with a round of 84 (+12), while Joe Petrillo tied for sixth as he posted a score of 87 (+15) for the match. Michael Conflitti and JP Gilroy tied for ninth as they tallied a round of 88 (+16), while Gavin Ruger rounded out the Monarch golfers with a round of 93 (+21).
 
The Monarchs will make their final preparations as they head into the 2023 MAC Freedom Championships this weekend at Huntsville Golf Club. The first round is set to begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning.
