WILLIAMSPORT, PA (April 26, 2023) -- After facing a setback in the 2023 MAC Freedom Semifinals yesterday afternoon, the King's College men's tennis team defeated the host Penn College, 7-2, to end their season with a win on Wednesday afternoon. The Monarchs conclude their 2023 season with a 13-8 overall record, while the Wildcats drop to 2-8.

Doubles play saw
Logan Gregory and
John Toussaint defeat the Wildcats pair, 8-4, at No. 1 doubles, while
Brendan Turowski and
Jacob Nelson picked up an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles over Penn College.

In singles action,
John Toussaint earned wins in set one, 7-5, and three, 6-4, to defeat Paul Langbein at No. 1 singles, while
Patrick Pech defeated Kyle Shuler, 6-4 and 6-1, to win the No. 2 singles match. The No. 3 singles contest saw
Aidan Temple win set one, 6-4, and three, 10-4, over Alexander Norris, while Turowski downed Jesse Knight by a pair of 6-0 sets in the No. 4 singles contest. Nelson earned the final win in the match for the Monarchs at No. 6 singles, handing Logan Stapleton a pair of 6-0 losses.

Penn College earned wins at No. 2 doubles as Pech and Temple fell, 8-6, and at No. 5 singles as
Cody Zheng battled to win set one, 6-4, before falling 6-1 in set two and 15-13 in the final set to Logan Ogden.
