LEHMAN, PA (April 3, 2023) –
Tyler Faux carded a career-low round of 73 on the par-72 course at Huntsville Golf Club to lead the King's College men's golf team to a second-place finish in their tri-match with the University of Scranton and the host Wilkes University. On Monday afternoon, Scranton won the team title with a score of 310 (+22), the Monarchs placed second with a round of 322 (+34), and the Colonels finished third as they carded a score of 327 (+39).
Faux also earned individual medalist honors with his career-low round, while Scranton took second and third behind Danny Harding's round of 74 (+2) and Matthew Fleming's score of 76 (+4). Wilkes was led by Cole Jungwirth who tied for fourth overall as he posted a 78 (+6).
JP Gilroy was the next top finisher for the Monarchs with a round of 81 (+9) as he tied for sixth.
Michael Conflitti and
Joe Petrillo tied each other as they both carded an 84 (+12) in the match, while
Gavin Ruger rounded out the King's golfers in the match with a score of 97 (+25).
King's will be back on the courses on Tuesday, April 11 as they are set to host Lycoming College. Tee time is set for 1:00 p.m. at Wyoming Valley Country Club.
