SALISBURY, MD (September 2, 2023) -- The King's College men's soccer team battled till the end in their 4-0 loss to Salisbury University Saturday afternoon.
King's (0-2-0) kept things tight through the first half of the match.
Evan Egnatovich nearly scored in the seventh minute to give the Monarchs an early lead, but goalkeeper Skyler McCarthy was just barely able to make the save and keep the ball out of the net. Egnatovich tried his hand at a goal again in the 18
th minute but was blocked by a Salisbury defender at the last second.

Jake Forst to give the Sea Gulls a 1-0 lead at the break.
The Monarchs continued to battle in second half play but unfortunately Salisbury was able to pressure the Monarch goal, and the ball found its way into the back of the net in the 54

Egnatovich applied three shots towards the Sea Gull net, while Permyashkin and
Gunhvir Singh recorded one shot each. Forst recorded eight saves in the net for the Monarchs.
