ONEONTA, PA (October 19, 2024) -- The King's College men's swim team fell to the Hawks of Hartwick 145-77. The Monarchs are now 1-2 overall, while the Hawks pick up their first win of the season.

In the individual events,
Matthew Maciejczyk took fourth place in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:22.92 and
Cody Zheng was behind at 3:02.00.
Austin Morris competed in the 100-yard backstroke and clocked in at 1:02.99 for fourth and
Jimmy Ardito came in at the fifth spot with a time of 1:22.68. In the 100-yard breaststroke,
Chris Marriott tabbed a third place finish at 1:19.56 and
David Guillen-Duran was right behind at 1:35.32. King's witnessed several members compete in the 50-yard freestyle.
Noah Dunbar finished fourth in the event at 26.26, while
Matthew Maciejczyk came in at 28.26, Guillen-Duren at 28.64, and Ardito rounded the Monarchs with 29.78.

In the 100-yard freestyle,
Billy Hanson took fourth at 58.72, Guillen-Duren clocked in at 1:07.59, and Zheng was right behind at 1:22.23. Morris earned the third top spot in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:24.64. Marriott brought home a first place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:58.26.
Matthew Maciejczyk collected his own first place finish in the 500-yard freestyle and clocked in at 6:47.12. In the 100-yard fly, Dunbar took the first spot at 1:07.47 and Ardito followed at 1:28.14 for second place. Hanson took first in the 200-yard IM for the final individual event at 2:34.37.

In the team events, the 200-yard medley relay team that consisted of Morris,
Christopher Maciejczyk, Hanson, and Dunbar, came in last at 1:57.85. King's had two relay teams in the 200-yard freestyle, the first team of Morris, Hanson,
Matthew Maciejczyk, and Dunbar came in at 1:45.83. The second team that comprised of Ardito, Zheng, Guillen-Duran, and
Chris Marriott clocked in at 1:58.04.

The Monarchs will be back on the road at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 26
th to battle Widener, Hood, and Messiah. The squad will have their first home meet of the season on November 2
nd at 12 p.m. against FDU-Florham.
