CENTER VALLEY, PA (November 2, 2024) -- The King's College men's soccer team concludes the 2024 season going 7-5-4, 2-2-2 MAC Freedom after losing 2-1 to DeSales on Saturday afternoon at DUC Soccer Field. The Bulldogs improve to 12-4-2, 4-1-2 MAC Freedom with the win.
Through the first 45 minutes, the teams combined for 11 shots, five corner kicks and 11 fouls. One yellow card issued to DeSales' Liam MacDonald in minute 16. The game was scoreless going into halftime.
After a yellow card was issued to Joseph Reteneller, MacDonald put the Bulldogs on the board first with a goal off an assist from Kevin Krall in minute 67. Yellow cards were issued to
Nate Horn in minute 68 and JohnPaul Mazza a minute later. King's also received a yellow card on the team in the 75
th minute. In minute 79, yellow cards were issued to
Edson Munoz,
Anthony Ramirez and Jimmy Shensky while DeSales' Dave Kroon received a red card. Elek McDonald received the last yellow card of the game in minute 85.
Cameron Jones scored the equalizing goal with an assist from
Philip Permyashkin with less than a minute to play, but Mazza bounced back with the game winning goal to end the Monarchs season.
