GRANTHAM, PA (December 7, 2024) -- The King's College wrestling team were back at the Messiah Petrofes Invitational for day two as
Alex Ballantyne looked to battle through the consolation bracket at 165 on Saturday morning.

Ballantyne battled hard in his first match of the day but fell to Alvernia's Ryan Lepore in 2:41. The junior wrestler lost to Matthew Duquette of Springfield in a 20-4 technical fall. Ballantyne earned a podium finish at eighth place for the Monarchs.

King's will return to the mats after finals week for a home quad-match against Keystone, New Jersey City, Sussex County Community College, and Alvernia at 10:30 a .m. on Saturday, December 14
th in McGrane Gymnasium. The squad will compete at the Wilkes Open on Friday, December 20
th at 9 a.m. before the holiday break.
