WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 10, 2024) -- The King's College men's golf team had another successful golf outing at the Wyoming Valley Country Club. The Monarchs defeated Lycoming 337 (+57) - 347 (+67) and fell to cross town rival Wilkes 337 (+57) - 316 (+36) to split the Wednesday afternoon.

On the par-70 course, Matthew Carlson of Wilkes took first with a score of 76 (+6). Lycoming's Will Eberz was one stroke behind to take the second spot with a round of 77 (+7). Wilkes' Max Cocchi and Cole Jungwirth tied for third and carded a score of 79 (+9).
JP Gilroy (Jr.) took the last top spot and notched an 80 (+10) round.

For sixth place Trevor DuBoff of Wilkes had a score of 82 (+12) and
Jackson Grozelle (Jr.) was right behind to card a score of 83 (+13).
Cameron Jones (Fy.) had a round of 85 (+15) for King's. The Warriors' Ross Eyer scored 87 (+17) and Mike Fry had a score of 87 (+17).
Alexander Ray (Jr.) carded a score of 89 (+19) to take 11
th place to finish off the Monarch golfers. The Colonels' Daniel Nau and
Gavin Ruger (Jr.) tied for 12
th place with 90 (+20). Lycoming's Kyle Davis rounded out the group with 95 (+25).

King's are back home on Monday, April 15
th to take on the Cougars of Misericordia with a tee time scheduled for 1 p.m. The squad will battle against Scranton on Wednesday, April 24
th at 1 p.m.
