WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 15, 2024) -- The King's College men's golf team came up short in their matchup against Misericordia on Monday afternoon. The Monarchs fell 340-339 to the Cougars at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.
At the par-70 course,
JP Gilroy (Jr.) took first place with a round of 77 (+7) and Brett Herman was one stroke behind with a score of 78 (+8) for Misericordia. The Cougars' Brian Hough had a third place finish with 81 (+11).
Cameron Jones (Fy.) carded a score of 86 (+16) for fourth.
Alexander Ray (Jr.) and Jack Hopkins evened with a score of 88 (+18).
Jackson Grozelle (Jr.) was right behind with a score of 89 (+19) to take the seventh spot.
Michael Kaleta (Fy.) tied with Adin Hopkins and Nick Kirkessner carding a score of 92 (+22). Silas Morrison was in eleventh place with 95 (+25) and
Gavin Ruger (Jr.) rounded out the Monarchs with 100 (+30).
King's are back in action on Sunday, April 21
st with a tri-match at the Huntsville Golf Club against Wilkes and Scranton. A scheduled tee time is set for 1 p.m. The squad will then host Scranton on Wednesday, April 24
th at 1 p.m.
