WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 27, 2024) -- In their Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) finale on Saturday afternoon, the King's College women's tennis team fell to top-ranked Stevens, 8-0, with an unfinished doubles match at Kirby Park. The Monarchs fall to 6-10 overall and 1-5 in the standings, while the Ducks improved to 11-5 and an unbeaten 6-0 in the MAC Freedom.

At No. 1 singles,
Ashley Kenia fell by scores of 6-1 and 6-0 to Stephanie Untermeyer, while
Hailey D'Amato dropped sets of 6-0 and 6-2 at No. 2 singles to Julianna Gomez. The No. 3 singles match saw
Jackie Costello drop a pair of 6-3 sets to Julia Chiovitti, while
Carlee Dellose lost by sets of 6-1 and 6-0 to Lorena Piegas at No. 4 singles.
Emma Rooney was downed by matching 6-0 sets to Anya Sharma at No. 5 singles, while
Sarah Stettler faced setbacks of 6-0 and 6-2 to Aliona Heitz at No. 6 singles.

At No. 1 doubles, Kenia and D'Amato battled before falling, 8-7 (1-0), to the Ducks pair, while Costello and Dellose lost, 8-1, at No. 2 doubles. Rooney and
Anagrace Schwartz were trailing, 7-4, before the match was called at No. 3 doubles.

King's will conclude its 2023-24 regular season tomorrow afternoon as they are set to take on Susquehanna University in non-conference play. The match in Selinsgrove is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
