WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 14, 2024) -- The King's College men's golf team fell to the Colonels of Wilkes 348-339 at Huntsville Golf Club on Saturday afternoon.
On the par-72 course, Wilkes' Cole Jungwirth (Sr.) took first place with a score of 78.
JP Gilroy (Sr.) was four strokes behind to take the second spot with a round of 82. The Colonels' Max Cocchi (Sr.) carded a score of 83 for third place and teammate Matthew Carlson (Jr.) was in fourth with a score of 85.
Michael Conflitti (Sr.) collected a score of 87 to gain the fifth spot and
Michael Kaleta (So.) was two strokes behind with a round of 89 to take sixth place.Â
Matt Metsa (Jr.) took the seventh spot with a score of 90 and
Jackson Grozelle (Sr.) carded a score of 92 to take eighth. Brady Rood of Wilkes finished ninth with a round of 93, while teammate Joseph Krieg (So.) carded a score of 94 for 10th place.
Brendan Percey (Fy.) and Teague Porter (So.) tied for the last spot with a score of 96.Â
The Monarchs are back on the road to take on Misericordia on Tuesday, September 17
th with a tee time set for 1 p.m. at Irem Temple Country Club. The squad will have a week break before traveling to Glenmaura National Golf Club to battle Scranton on Monday, September 23
rd. A scheduled tee time is set for 1 p.m.
