Monarchs Lose on the Road at Irem Temple Country Club

DALLAS, PA (September 17, 2024) -- The King's College men's golf team falls on the road to the Cougars of Misericordia and the Pacers of Marywood on Tuesday afternoon. The Monarchs had a team score of 399, while the Cougars pulled in first place with a team score of 343, and the Pacers collected a team score of 365 at Irem temple Country Club.
 
On the par-72 course, Brett Herman (Sr.) of Misericordia notched a first place finish with a round of 80 and teammate Ryan Vallach (Fy.) recorded a score of 85 for the second top spot. The Cougars' Logan Larish (Fy.) was one stroke behind to card a score of 86 for third place. In the last top spot was JP Gilroy (Sr.) and Marywood's Luke Landis (Fy.) who both collected a score of 90.
 
In sixth place, the Pacers' witnessed Zach Veleski (Jr.) and Baden Hancock (Fy.) tie with a round of 91 for the day. Silas Morrison (Sr.) of Misericordia carded a score of 92 for eighth. In the ninth spot was Kaeden Kuzmeirz (Fy.) of Marywood who produced a score of 93, while Jackson Grozelle (Sr.) and Matt Metsa (Jr.) were one stroke behind with a score of 94 to deadlock for 10th place. In 12th was the Pacers' Soren Svanson (Sr.) with a round of 95. In the last spots were the Cougars' Brian Hough (Jr.) with 99 and Connor Foster (Sr.) with 121.
 
Misericordia had two golfers play individually and witnessed Cameron Purrington (Fy.) score a round of 79 and Adin Hopkins (Sr.) card a score of 93.
 
King's will have a week before taking on Scranton at the Glenmaura National Golf Club on Monday, September 23rd with a tee time of 1 p.m. In their last matchup of the fall season, the squad will host Misericordia on Thursday, October 3rd with a scheduled tee time of 1 p.m.
