SCRANTON, PA (September 23, 2024) -- The King's College men's golf team go 1-1 in their Monday afternoon tri-match against the Royals of Scranton (3-0) and the Cougars of Misericordia (3-3) at Glenmaura National Golf Club. The Royals were on top with a team score of 296, the Monarchs (3-4) rang in a score of 333, and the Cougars were in last with 345.

Scranton's Liam Burtis brought in a score of 70 on the par-71 course for first place and teammate Jack Novis was four strokes behind to have a round of 74 to take the second top spot. The Royals' Juliano Nieto and Richard Esssen evened with a score of 76 for third place. In fifth was Danny Harding of Scranton and Brett Herman of Misericordia who deadlocked with a round of 77.

JP Gilroy (Sr.) carded a score of 78 to take seventh place and the Royals' Gehrig Shannon shot a round of 80 for eighth.
Michael Kaleta (So.) was one stroke behind to take the ninth spot with a score of 82. Ryan Vallach of Misericordia produced a score of 86 for 10
th place. The Cougars' Brian Hough and Cameron Purrington, along with
Brendan Percey (Fy.) all had a round of 92 to tie for the 11
th spot.

th place was
Alexander Ray (Sr.) who carded a score of 93 and
Matt Metsa (Jr.) rounded out King's with a score of 94 for 13
th. Misericordia's Logan Larish took the final spot with 103.

The Monarchs will finish out their fall season on Thursday, October 3
rd as they will host Scranton at the Wyoming Valley Country Club with a scheduled tee time of 1 p.m.
