Women's Golf Witness Multiple Career-Lows in Win Over Wilkes

WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 7, 2024) -- The King's College women's golf team defeated cross town rival Wilkes 356-383 on Saturday afternoon. The Monarchs witnessed Aspen Wallin (Sr.), Brighton Wallin (Jr.), and Abby Barlocker (So.) gain career-lows at Wyoming Valley Country Club. 

On the par-73 course, the Colonels' Kyleen McCance (So.)  medaled with a score of 77 for first place. Brighton Wallin was nine strokes behind to card a round of 86 and take the second spot. Barlocker took the third place with 87. In fourth, was Mady Pendolphi (Sr.) with a round of 89.

Aspen Wallin had a score of 94 for fifth and just two strokes behind was Wilkes' Mollie Corbett (Sr.) with 96 to take the sixth spot. Colonels' Bella Rebar (Fy.) and Amanda Sokol (Jr.) tied for seventh with a round of 109. Bella Lesante (So.) carded a score of 116 to take eighth. 

The Monarchs will be back in action tomorrow, September 8th at Stonehedge Golf Club to take on the University of Scranton. A scheduled tee time is set for 12 p.m. The squad will have a week break before traveling to Susquehanna Valley Country Club to compete against Susquehanna on Sunday, September 15th with a scheduled tee time set for 1 p.m.
