SCRANTON, PA (September 8, 2024) -- The King's College women's golf team traveled to Stonehedge Golf Club to take on the Royals of Scranton and the Cougars of Misericordia. The Royals came out on top with a team score of 372 (+88), the Cougars took second with a score of 404 (+120), and the Monarchs totaled a score of 423 (+139) on Sunday afternoon.
On the par-71 course, Scranton's Mara Bilinski (Fy) medaled with a round of 91 (+20) to take first place and teammate Alexandra Schaul (So.) was one stroke behind with a score of 92 (+21) to gain the second spot. Cassandra Weir (Jr.) carded a round of 93 (+22) to tab third for the Royals. Lidia Marranca (Jr.) of Scranton and
Abby Barlocker (So.) tied for fourth with a score of 96 (+25).
Mady Pendolphi (Sr.) and Jordyn Ruane (Sr.) of Misericordia deadlocked at the sixth spot with a score of 98 (+27).
Scranton's Samy Arun Kumar (Fy.) and Paige Perry (So.) tied at eighth place with a round of 99 (+28). The Royals' Emily Murphy was two stroke behind with a score of 101 (+30) for 10
th place. At the 11
th spot was the Cougars' Olivia Voll (Jr.) and
Brighton Wallin (Jr.) carding a score of 102 (+31). To round out the last three spots were Misericordia's Abigail Nolan (Sr.) with 105 (+34), Amanda Voll (So.) got 126 (+55) for the Cougars, and
Ashley Wheeler (So.) earned a score of 127 (+55).
King's will be back on the green on Sunday, September 15th to take on the River Hawks of Susquehanna in Selinsgrove, PA. A scheduled tee time is set for 1 p.m. The squad will host Scranton on Saturday, September 28th with a scheduled tee time of 1 p.m.
