DALLAS, PA (January 17, 2025) -- On Friday night, the King's College men's swimming team fell, 161-27, to the host Misericordia University in their first meet in 2025. With the setback, the Monarchs drop to 1-10 overall.

King's (1-10) opened the meet in the 200 yard medley relay as the team of
Christopher Maciejczyk,
David Guillen-Duran,
Noah Dunbar, and
Matthew Maciejczyk finished in 2:11.01 to take third overall.
Christopher Maciejczyk followed up that effort with a third-place finish in the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 13:26.94.

The Monarchs took third, fourth, and fifth in the 200 yard freestyle as
Matthew Maciejczyk posted a time of 2:17.67,
Cody Zheng finished in 2:59.98, and
John Toussaint crossed in 3:00.99. In the 50 yard freestyle, Dunbar was the top King's finisher in fourth in 26.44 seconds, followed by Guillen-Duran in 29.89 seconds, and Toussaint rounded out the group in 34.06 seconds.

Dunbar recorded another top mark in the meet as he placed fourth in the 100 yard butterfly in 1:09.47, before Toussaint and Zheng took third and fourth in 1:19.41 and 1:22.21, respectively.
Christopher Maciejczyk collected his third podium finish on the night as he took fourth in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:09.50, and
Matthew Maciejczyk had his own fourth-place finish in 6:38.33 in the 500 yard freestyle. Guillen-Duran wrapped up the meet for the Monarchs with a fourth-place time of 1:31.35 in the 100 yard breaststroke.

The Monarchs will be back in action on Friday, January 24 as they celebrate senior night and take on Lycoming College in the Scandlon Natatorium at 6:00 p.m.
