Men's Swim Surges Past Lebanon Valley with 144-48 Victory

ANNVILLE, PA (October 18, 2025) -- The King's College men's swim team earned their second win of the season, taking down Lebanon Valley 144-48 at the Arnold Sports Center Swimming Pool, Saturday afternoon. The win moved the Monarchs to 2-1 overall while the Dutchmen opened the season at 0-1.

In the individual events, Christopher Dutko placed second in the 800-meter freestyle at 10:35.39, while teammates Christopher Maciejczyk and Matthew Maciejczyk finished third and fourth respectively with times of 11:55.78 and 12:11.89.

Connor Scheckner won the 100-meter backstroke at 1:02.73, followed by C.Maciejczyk who clocked in a time of 1.16.57 and Noah Dunbar earning third-place at 1:28.77.

Scheckner picked up his second win of the day in the 100-meter butterfly, swimming a time of 1:01.93, M.Maciejczyk placed third at 1:20.85 and Billy Hanson touched the wall at 1:28.83, placing fourth.

Three Monarchs finished in the top 3 of the 200-meter IM as Scheckner won his third race of the day by swimming a time of 2:28.03. Julian Zoquier took second at 2:58.85 and Hanson finished third at 3:01.92.

In the 400-meter freestyle, Dutko finished second with a time of 5:07.73, M.Maciejczyk touched the wall at 5.45.08 in third, and C.Maciejczyk rounded the group placing fourth after a time of 5.51.38.

Chase Kubis earned a victory in the 200-meter freestyle, touching the wall at 2:14.03, while Dunbar and David Guillen-Duran clocked in times of 2:40.09 and 2:45.67 finishing in third and fourth.

In the 100-meter freestyle, Kubis had a winning time of 58.58, Kyle McDevitt placed second at 1:04.01, and Zoquier finished fifth by clocking in a time of 1:11.53.

McDevitt led the team in the 50-meter freestyle by placing first with a time of 27.48, as Dutko touched the wall in third at 28.32, and Guillen-Duran clocked in at 33.09 in fifth.

McDevitt also won the 100-meter breaststroke by swimming a time of 1:20.40, while teammates Kubis and Hanson placed in second and fourth consecutively with times of 1:25.29 and 1:35.81.

The Monarchs were victorious in both team events today, as the group of C.Maciejczyk, McDevitt, Zoquier, and Stefan Lakoseljac won the 200-meter medley relay at 2:13.57. The group of Kubis, Guillen-Duran, Dutko, and Scheckner swam a time of 1:48.43 in the 200-meter freestyle relay.

King's men's swim returns to the pool next week, taking on Hood College at the Huntsinger Aquatics Center in Frederick, MD, Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
