Men's Swimming Posts Victory Over Nazareth in Tri-Meet

ONEONTA, NY (November 1, 2025) –  The King's College men's swim team earned a win against Nazareth in a tri-meet at the Sally Griffiths Herbert '88 Aquatics Center on Saturday Afternoon. The Monarch's defeated Nazareth 144-78, while falling to host Hartwick College 208-80. The team's record now sits at 4-4 overall this season.

King's started out the day with a 4th place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, as the squad of Christopher Maciejczyk, Kyle McDevitt, Matthew Maciejczyk, and Stefan Lakoseljac swam a season best time of 1.58.05.
In the 1,000-yard freestyle, Christopher Dutko placed fourth with a time of 12:19.47 and C.Maciejczyk placed fifth at 13:41.14.

Chase Kubis finished third out of eight swimmers in the 200-yard freestyle touching the block at 1:57.60, while teammate Julian Zoquier earned sixth with a time of 2:16.93.

 Connor Scheckner won the 100-yard backstroke swimming a time of 55.54, C. Maciejczyk claimed fifth at 1:10.29, and Noah Dunbar swam to the wall in sixth at 1:16.21.

The trio of McDevitt, Zoquier, and David Guillen-Duran placed fourth, fifth, and sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke. McDevitt received a time of 1:10.03, while Zoquier touched the block in 1:18.20, and Guillen-Duran finished in 1:22.76.

In the 50-yard freestyle, Kubis placed third with a time of 23:17 and teammate Lakoseljac swam a time of 24.73 to finish in seventh.

Kubis additionally claimed second in the 100-yard freestyle swimming a time of 50.90. Dutko touched the block at 56.42 and Dunbar swam to the wall in 1:02:10.

Scheckner picked up his second victory of the day in 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:06.15. The duo pair of McDevitt and Guillen-Duran placed fourth and sixth in the 200-yard breaststroke. McDevitt swam a time of 2:41.30 while Guillen-Duran finished in 3:07.56.

In the 500-yard freestyle, Dutko earned third touching the block in 5:52.73. M.Maciejczyk claimed fifth in the 100-yard butterfly swimming 1:13.22 and Dunbar touched the wall at 1:17.25 placing sixth.

In the 200-yard IM, Schenker placed first with a time of 2:10.65, winning his third event of the day.

The team capped off the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as the group of Kubis, McDevitt, Dutko, and Scheckner swam a time of 1:33.47, nearly two seconds away from first.

The Monarchs return to the pool next Saturday, November 8, taking on Stevenson at the Rosenberg Aquatic Center in Owing Mills, Maryland at 1:00 p.m.
