PITTSTON, PA (February 21, 2025) – The King's College women's ice hockey team beat the Neumann University Knights 3-2 in their final game of the season on Friday night at the Revolution Ice Centre. With the win in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), the Monarchs set a new program record for most single-season wins and conclude the 2024-25 campaign 6-15-3, 6-12-3 in conference play as the Knights move to 4-16-3, 3-14-3 with one game to go in their regular season.
Senior
Kait Wolf got the Monarchs going at 13:34 as she scored her first goal of the season with assists from
Abby Barlocker and
Brighton Wallin. Wallin was sent to the penalty box for tripping at 17:20, resulting in a power play goal for the Neumann's Kaylynn Savoy off assists from Lian Sydorowicz and Kaila Booth at 18:00 to tie the game at 1-1 going into the first intermission.
In the second period, Booth scored a power play goal of her own, with assists from Savoy and Charlotte Labre, at 9:54 after
Amanda Sokol was penalized for roughing at 9:44.
Lucy Beal tied the game at 2-2 with a power play goal at 11:30 off assists from Sokol and
Aspen Wallin after Gabby Massa was called for tripping at 10:49. The game remained tied heading into the third period.
Brighton Wallin sealed the deal as she put the Monarchs on top with a goal midway through the third with help from Barlocker and Quindipan.
Maddie Vaughan tallied three blocks and
Jordan Dittmar went 10-6 in faceoffs as
Syd Dahl recorded 23 saves in net. The Monarchs conclude their season with a new program single-season win record with six.
