WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 1, 2025) --
JP Gilroy,
Brendan Percey, and
Alexander Ray all carded career-low rounds to lead the King's College men's golf team in their spring home opener at Wyoming Valley Country Club on Tuesday afternoon. The Monarchs finished third with a round of 334 as the University of Scranton took first with a score of 300, and Misericordia University split the match with a team finish of 331.

Gilroy led the Monarchs as he tied for third with a career-low round of 75 (+5), topping his previous best of 76 from the opening round of the 2023 MAC Freedom Championships. Percey recorded a career-low round of 83 (+13) to tie for eighth, while Ray carded a career-best score of 87 (+17) in the spring home opener.
Jackson Grozelle posted a round of 89 (+19), while
Cameron Jones rounded out the team's efforts with a score of 91 (+21).

Scranton took the top two spots as Danny Harding led all players with a round of 71 (+1). Misericordia was led by Brett Herman and Cameron Purrington who tied for fifth with a round of 79 (+9)

The Monarchs are back in action next Thursday, April 10 as they return the trip up to Misericordia. Tee time at Irem Temple Country Club is set for 1:00 p.m.
