WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 25, 2025) -- The King's College women's tennis team came out with four big singles win to defeat DeSales University, 4-2, in an important Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) match on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Monarchs improve to 4-10 overall and 2-3 in the standings, while the Bulldogs drop to 6-11 with a 1-5 conference mark.

Ashley Kenia defeated Nyah Tomlinson at No. 1 singles, 6-2 and 6-1, while
Hailey D'Amato topped Emily Prokopovich, 6-4 and 6-2, at No. 3 singles.
Carlee Dellose won her No. 4 singles match by scores of 6-4 and 6-1 over Tara Clark, while
Sarah Stettler downed Caroline Prince, 6-1 and 6-0, at No. 5 singles.

Kiki Nweje and Dellose picked up the lone singles victory in the match, 6-4, over the Bulldogs at No. 2 doubles.

At No. 2 singles, Nweje dropped a tough match to Lilah Maus by scores of 7-5 and 6-2. Kenia and D'Amato lost their No. 1 doubles match, 6-3, while
Betsy Allen and Stettler fell, 6-2, at No. 3 doubles.

The Monarchs will enjoy a day off tomorrow before returning to action on Sunday afternoon as they travel to Hoboken, N.J. to take on Stevens Institute of Technology at 12:00 p.m.
