NEWTOWN, PA (July 1, 2025) -- On Tuesday morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Executive Director Megan Morrison announced the 2025 Women's Ice Hockey Academic All-MAC Team. Among this year's XX honorees was King's College women's ice hockey junior
Lucy Beal.
This marks the sixth player in King's women's ice hockey history to earn Academic All-MAC recognition.
The Winter Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2025 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.
Beal had another strong campaign for the Monarchs this past season, collecting All-MAC Second Team honors as a defenseman. The junior appeared in 22 of the 24 games this past winter, leading the team with nine goals and adding seven assists for 16 points. She also set single-season program records with nine goals, 106 shots, and four power-play goals while guiding the team to their best season in program history. An exercise science major, Beal posted a 3.79 GPA in the Spring 2025 semester.
