YORK, PA (February 12, 2025) -- The King's College women's swimming team opened competition at York College on Thursday, kicking off the first day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships.
In the 200-yard IM prelims,
Carla Hidalgo posted a personal-best time of 2:28.39, trimming 4.32 seconds off her previous mark to qualify for the finals. Hidalgo went on to place 24th overall in the finals, touching the wall in 2:28.81, just 0.42 seconds off her morning swim.
The Monarchs closed out the day with an 18th-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, as the quartet of Hidalgo, Huffer, Cryan, and Malaga touched the wall in 2:10.69.
The women's swim team returns to action on Friday, February 13, as the Monarchs compete in day two of the MAC championships at York College starting at 9:30 AM.
