WILKES-BARRE, PA (February 20, 2026)-- King's College men's soccer first-year midfielder
Joshua Scotland has been selected to represent the Cayman Islands U-20 National Team at the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship Qualifiers, scheduled for Feb. 23-Mar. 4 at Stadion Rignaal "Jean" Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
A native of Lower Valley, Bodden Town on Grand Cayman, Scotland earned the call-up following his first collegiate season with King's. During the 2025 campaign, he appeared in four matches, making one start and logging 89 minutes of action in the midfield. Scotland was seeing increased minutes late in the season before a minor injury limited his availability.
Off the field, Scotland was named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll while pursuing a degree in Business Management.
Scotland's path to King's began when he reached out to head coach Brandon Raynor to express interest in the program. Raynor later evaluated Scotland and his Darlington School team at a showcase event before offering him a roster spot.
Scotland chose King's because, "It has a very good business program with my major and great facilities. They also have a competitive soccer program with a great coach and bright future."
The qualifiers serve as the opening stage of the regional competition. The 12-team Championship is scheduled for July 25-Aug. 9, 2026, and will feature the region's top 12 men's U-20 national teams divided into three groups of four. Scotland and the Cayman Islands will open play in the qualifier on Feb. 23 against Turks and Caicos.
