WILKES-BARRE, PA (June 22, 2026) -- With summer officially underway, the King's College women's ice hockey team and head coach Quinn La Rock have announced the addition of Issy Lebrun as an assistant coach as the staff continues to take shape ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Lebrun returns to Wilkes-Barre after spending the past year as Head of Academics at Total Package Hockey (TPH) Philadelphia, where she oversaw student instruction, academic advising, and day-to-day academic operations. During her time with TPH, she also gained valuable coaching experience on the ice, serving as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers U16 and U19 AAA girls programs, working directly with player development, bench management, and in-game strategy.

In addition, Lebrun expanded her coaching portfolio during the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach with the West Chester University ACHA Division I men's hockey team, where she contributed to practice planning, game-day operations, and player development.

"We are thrilled to welcome Issy to our program," said La Rock. "Her experience as both a player and coach brings a wealth of knowledge, perspective, and passion to our rapidly growing team. Issy possesses a contagious energy and relentless drive that will make an immediate impact on our group and help elevate our program from day one."

Lebrun's return to King's marks a full-circle moment in her academic and athletic journey. A former NCAA Division I student-athlete at Long Island University, she was a member of the Sharks' inaugural program, competing while earning a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management. Lebrun graduated magna cum laude after completing her degree in just three years.

Following her time at LIU, Lebrun came to King's College, where she continued both her academic and athletic pursuits. She earned a Master of Healthcare Administration in just 13 months while competing as a multi-sport NCAA Division III student-athlete. She later added a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership, further strengthening her background in education and student development.

"I'm incredibly excited to be joining the King's College Women's Ice Hockey program as an Assistant Coach and to be returning to a place that has meant so much to me," said Lebrun. "I'd like to thank Coach La Rock and Director of Athletics Andy Orlowski for this opportunity. I can't wait to get to work with the student-athletes and contribute to the continued growth and success of the program."

In addition to her coaching and academic experience, Lebrun holds USA Hockey Level 2 certification (with Level 3 in progress) and is certified in CPR/First Aid/AED and SafeSport. She has also contributed to youth development through various camps and clinics and gained experience supporting collegiate athletic operations.

Lebrun will assist with all aspects of the King's women's ice hockey program, including recruiting, player development, practice planning, and game-day operations.
