WILKES-BARRE, PA (August 14, 2026) -- The road through the 2026-27 wrestling season is officially set as Aaron Perez unveiled the Monarchs' schedule on Friday. The Monarchs will take part in 16 events, including the annual Ned McGinley Invitational, five home dual meets, and postseason competition extending into late February.
 
King's opens the season on November 7 by hosting the annual Ned McGinley Invitational in McGrane Gymnasium at 9:00 a.m. The Monarchs then begin their dual meet schedule on November 18 with a road trip to Delaware Valley before returning to action at the Wilkes Invitational on November 21.
 
December begins with the two-day Messiah Petrofes Invitational on December 4 and 5 before King's returns home to host Camden County College on December 12 at 12:00 p.m. The final competition of the calendar year comes on December 22 at the Wilkes Open.
 
Following the holiday break, the Monarchs resume competition on January 2 with a dual meet at McDaniel. Four days later, King's heads to Connecticut for a tri-meet hosted by the University of Bridgeport that will also feature Roger Williams.
 
The Red and Gold return home on January 9 to host Scranton at 12:00 p.m. inside the Scandlon Auxiliary and Recreation Gymnasium before turning their attention to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships at Alvernia University on January 16 at 10:00 a.m.
 
King's closes out the dual meet portion of its schedule with four home contests over a nine-day stretch. The Monarchs welcome Lackawanna on January 22 at 7:00 p.m., Lycoming on January 23 at 1:00 p.m., and York on January 30 at 1:00 p.m. The final road dual of the season comes on February 5 against cross-town rival Wilkes.
 
Regular-season competition concludes on February 7 as the Monarchs travel to Lycoming for the Rennie Rodarmel Allstate Invitational.
 
Postseason action concludes with the NCAA Region III Championships, scheduled for February 26-27 at York College of Pennsylvania. Wrestlers earning automatic or at-large selections will advance to the 2027 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.
