Baxter Paces Monarchs in Season Opener at the Misericordia Invite

DALLAS, PA (September 4, 2026) -- The King's College men's cross country team kicked off the season with a fourth-place team finish at the Misericordia Invitational on Friday evening.

Sophomore Ryan Baxter led the Monarchs with a first-place team finish, placing 18th overall in a personal-best 4K time of 13:41.4, nearly 17 seconds faster than his previous best.

Teammates Joseph Rossi and Cohen Claar earned 25th and 26th overall, respectively. Rossi additionally ran a personal best time of 14:00.6, 15 seconds quicker than his original time, and Claar crossed the line in 14:13.2.

Junior Ben Wnuk placed 35th at 14:37.0, and sophomore Casimir Glaude rounded out the scoring for the Monarchs by finishing 43rd with a time of 15:15.9.

First-year Johnny Llewellyn made his collegiate debut by running a time of 15:42.8, placing 46th overall. First year Salvatore Amitrano placed 48th in 16:06.4 in his first collegiate race as well.

Sophomores Noah Kolinovsky and Victor Cocchiaro crossed the line at 16:19.4 and 16:23.9, placing 51st and 52nd overall.

Vinny Fazzino came in 55th at 16:31.6 and Alek Gorski placed 56th with a time of 17:04.4.

The Monarchs will return to action on Friday, September 18th at 5:00 p.m., where they will travel to the Greenspring Cross Country Course hosted by Stevenson University.
