2024 (Outdoor Season): Competed in five out of a possible nine meets as a first year thrower for the Monarchs...Recorded personal-best marks of 13.11 meters in the shot put and 40.68 meters in the discus throw at MAC Championships (5/3-4/24)...Posted a personal-best toss of 37.10 meters in the hammer throw at the Misericordia Invitational (4/19/24)...Won the shot put at the Monarch Open (4/27/24) and the Misericordia Twilight Meet (4/5/24) with eight top-five finishes and 11 top-10 finishes...King's placed 8th out of 16 scoring teams with 53 points at the MAC Championships.

PRIOR TO KING'S: Competed in football, wrestling, and track and field for the Knights of Scranton High School...Named captain of the football team...Earned Defensive Player of the Year, All-League, All-County, and All-Region honors.
PERSONAL: Son of Carlos Martinez and Lauren VanDyke...Also a member of the King's football team...An international business major...Chose King's College because "it was a great environment and felt like home."
