In December, 2007, King's opened the brand-new Intermetro Wellness
Center in the Scandlon Physical Education Center.Â
The two-story structure houses a wide variety of weight training and fitness
equipment which is open to all King's College students and employees. The
weight room is on the bottom floor while cardio and exercise are upstairs.
The first floor of the facility includes over 25,000 pounds of free weights, five
full rack stations with platforms for strength lifting, 6,000 pounds of dumbbells,
eight Hammer Strength units, and a number of weight training machines.

A long row of free weights takes up much of the entire front wall.

Center on the first floor.
The top floor consists of a row of cardiovascular machines,
including treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical and rowing machines.
A remodel of the top floor provided weight-training machines to the general
student body during the day as to keep the first floor reserved for team lifts during
those hours.

stairway at left leads downstairs to the weight room.
