SPECTATOR POLICY - Updated January 16, 2022
The MAC guidelines for spectators will be in effect, but the King's College Spectators Policy is below.
INDOOR EVENTS SPECTATOR POLICY: Effective January 17, spectators who wish to attend indoor King’s College home events must follow guidelines in place by the CDC and local health department.
- All spectators in attendance at any home indoor athletic event this year are required to wear a mask, at all times, regardless of vaccination status. All spectators are required to supply their own masks and facial coverings when attending these events.
- All spectators should try and remain socially distant of other fans (a family unit may sit or stand together).
- Spectators are strongly encouraged not to interact with players, coaches, or staff members in close contact before, during, or after the contest.
- Animals other than documented service animals are not permitted.
- Noncompliance with all COVID19 safety measures may grounds from removal from the venue.
- Spectators should not arrive to venues until 30 minutes before start of competition.
- Spectators are only permitted for competition, practices remained closed to spectators. Unless accompanied by a King's College coach.
- No post-game/match tailgates are permitted indoors at this time.
OUTDOOR EVENTS SPECTATOR POLICY: Spectators who wish to attend outdoor King's College home events must follow guidelines in place by the CDC and local health department.
- All spectators in attendance at any home outdoor athletic event this year should try and remain socially distant of other fans (a family unit may sit or stand together).
- All unvaccinated spectators are asked to wear a mask at all times. All spectators are required to supply their own masks and facial coverings when attending these events.
- Masking is required for all individuals (vaccinated or not) in all restrooms and buildings.
- Spectators are strongly encouraged not to interact with players, coaches, or staff members in close contact before, during, or after the contest.
- Spectators are not permitted in the John Dorish Field House beyond the public restrooms.
- Animals other than documented service animals are not permitted.
- Spectators are strongly encouraged not to go to the campus from Betzler Field after any outdoor event.
- Noncompliance with all COVID19 safety measures may grounds from removal from the venue.
- Spectators must follow all wayfinding directional signage for approved paths of travel and they may only utilize the special designated parking areas within the Betzler Sports Complex.
- Spectators are only permitted for competition, practices remained closed to spectators. Unless accompanied by a King's College coach.
- Tailgating is only permitted in designated areas and not permitted in main parking lot.
- Tailgating area will open 2 hours before kick-off.
McCarthy Stadium (Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Soccer, Football)
- Spectators are not permitted to stand behind team bench areas.
- Spectators are not permitted to sit directly below the press box as this is a working area for game management.
- Spectators are not permitted on the turf pre or post-game.
Lipo Field (Baseball)
- First and Third baselines will be restricted to team members and game management staff.
- Spectators will be not permitted near each teams' dugouts or behind home plate by the gameday crew (stats, announcing, stream).
- Spectators are encouraged to bring their own seating to sit on sidewalk and upper track grass area. The track area will be restricted if the track team is practicing.
- Spectators are strongly encouraged not to interact with players, coaches, or staff members in close contact before, during, or after the contest.
Betzler Softball Field
- Spectators are permitted to sit in outfield areas and should bring their own chairs.
- Limited bleacher seating is available.
- First and Third baselines will be restricted to team members and game management staff.
- Spectators will be not permitted near each teams' dugouts or behind home plate by the gameday crew (stats, announcing, stream).
- Spectators are strongly encouraged not to interact with players, coaches, or staff members in close contact before, during, or after the contest.
Track Meets (Track & Field)
- Spectator policy for home track meets will be determined at a later date.
Kirby Park Tennis Courts (Men's & Women's Tennis)
- Spectators are permitted to sit outside of fence area and should bring their own chairs.
- Spectators are not permitted in official team areas.
- Spectators are strongly encouraged not to interact with players, coaches, or staff members in close contact before, during, or after the contest.
Wyoming Valley Country Club Golf Course (Men's & Women's Golf)
- Spectators will follow all current restrictions set up by courses.
- Spectators are strongly encouraged not to interact with players, coaches, or staff members in close contact before, during, or after the contest.
Each MAC school has autonomy to do what is safest for their individual campus, and that may differ with what King's College has announced. The institutional spectator policy resource page will be updated as policies are announced by each institution
