Bakanas completed his sixth season on staff in 2024, after serving as a volunteer assistant as a student in 2019. Bakanas was a four-year contributor for the Monarchs on the offensive line from 2016-19, earning All-MAC as a senior.
Ahead of the 2025 season, Bakanas picked up the title of Director of Football Operations where he will make sure the day-to-day functions of the program are run at a high level. He will oversee all logistics, travel, academics, and recruiting.
