Christopher Bantell joined the King's College football staff in the summer of 2019, where he will be in charge of the defensive backs. During the 2020-21 season, he was promoted to co-Defensive Coordinator as well. Bantell just completed his fourth active season with the Monarchs in 2023.

Bantell comes to King's College after serving as the Defensive Backs and Defensive Pass Game Coordinator at Division II Kutztown University from June 2017-2019. While at Kutztown, he helped KU to a Top 20 national ranking, while assisting the squad to a 2018 NCAA Division II Playoff berth. His defensive unit was top 10 in Division II in interceptions, turnovers and turnover margin. 

Prior to Kutztown, Bantell held the same role at local Middle Atlantic Conference rival Misericordia University from April 2016-June 2017. No stranger to the league, Bantell was the Defensive Backs Coach, along with serving as the Defensive Pass Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator at Wilkes University from March 2014-March 2015. Before that at Wilkes, he served as the Wide Receivers Coach and Pass Game Coordinator for a season. Bantell has also held posts at West Chester University from 2010-12, along with a graduate assistant year at another MAC school in Widener University from 2009-10.

Personal

Bantell earned his bachelor of arts in communications/athletic coaching from West Chester in 2009. Bantell lives in Dunmore with his wife Ashley and his three sons, Carter (8), Cullen (5) and Cade (3).
