Joining the King’s staff in 2012 is assistant coach Garth Andrade who will coach the defensive backs with a focus on the safeties. Served as defensive secondary coach and co-defensive coordinator at Lackawanna College from 1997-2005. Helped team to five National Junior College Athletic Association post-season bowl games, including the Midwest Bowl (1994), Golden Isles Bowl (’95), Dixie Rotary Bowl (’96), Golden Isles Bowl (’00), and the Real Dairy Bowl (’01). He had previously served as defensive coordinator at Crestwood High School form 1992-93, as well as being the head offensive anddefensive line coach at Wyoming Seminary Prep School from 1989-91.
Andrade is a 1983 graduate of Harvard University where he earned a degree in History and was a Dean’s List student. He graduated from Wilkes-Barre’s Coughlin High School in 1979 where he was a National Honor Society selection from 1976-through-1979. He was named to Who’s Who Among American High School Athletes and American High School Students.
