Returning to his alma mater is 2002 King’s graduate Greg Miller. Miller will serve as coach of the secondary.
As a defensive end and linebacker, Miller was part of the most successful period of King’s football. As a sophomore and junior, he helped the Monarchs to the 2000 and 2001 Eastern College Athletic Conference Southeast championships.
As a senior, he was a key performer at outside linebacker as the Monarchs produced one of the most dominant defenses in the nation, winning its lone Middle Atlantic Conference title while registering the program’s first-ever berth into the NCAA Division III National Playoffs and a spot in the “Sweet 16”.
Miller started eight of 11 games that season, making 53 tackles with 5.0 tackles for 22 yards in losses and 1.5 sacks for 20 lost yards.
Upon graduating from King’s with a degree in business administration, Miller’s first coaching job was as an assistant coach at nearby Wyoming Seminary Prep School, mentoring the team’s linebackers, secondary, and tight ends for two seasons.
He would eventually become part of the staff at Lackawanna College where he coached the defensive secondary from 2006-2009. While at Lackawanna, Miller was part of a highly successful junior college program that consistently ranked nationally in the NJCAA in a variety of defensive categories.
In 2009, the Lackawanna defense ranked fifth overall and fifth in pass defense. Additionally, in 2006 the Falcon defense was ranked third overall by the NJCAA and was also ranked 17th in total defense by the NJCAA in 2008.
In 2007, Miller also worked for the All-American Football League as a professional scout and evaluator.
