Jan Cechak

JAN CECHAK

Entering his 4th year with the Monarchs is assistant coach Jan Cechak, who will work with the defensive ends. Coach Cechak owns a wealth of experience at both the collegiate and high school levels.

He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Trenton Central High School from 1985-1988. He then moved on to an assistant coaching position at Harry S. Truman High School from 1989-90. Cechak was then promoted to head coach at Truman from 1991-97 and was selected the Bucks County Courier Times "Coach of the Year" in 1996. He was also selected to serve as head coach of the Lions All-Star Classic on three occasions.

Cechak then moved on to an assistant coaching position at his alma-mater, Neshaminy High School, before securing the head coaching position at Tunkhannock Area High School from 1999-2001. He would then move on to Wilkes University where he served as an assistant coach, working with the defensive line, from 2002-2004.

Most recently, Cechak was the defensive line coach at Towanda High School for the 2005 season, prior to his arrival at King's.

Cechak is a 1979 graduate of Neshaminy High School and is a 1983 graduate of Millersville University. He is employed full-time as a Tech-Ed teacher in the Tunkhannock Area High School. He is married to his wife Deborah for 21 years and the couple have three sons, Gregory (20), a junior at Bloomsburg University; Thomas (19), serving in the Navy; and Charles (17) a junior at Tunkhannock High School.
