Jason Kelly is in his second season as a full-time assistant coach with the Monarchs where he coaches the running backs and tight ends while also serving as special teams coordinator.
Kelly is a 2005 King's College graduate and was a standout offensive lineman during his four-year varsity career. As a senior, Kelly was named a first-team Middle Atlantic Conference all-star at center. He was also a member of King's 2002 MAC championship team that reached the second round of the NCAA Division III National Playoffs.
While at King's, Kelly owned the football program's three-lift record of 1,405 combined pounds in the incline bench press, squat, and power clean.
After graduating from King's with a degree in Criminal Justice, Kelly launched his coaching career when he spent the 2005-06 year as an intern assistant coach with the Monarchs.
He would then move on to Springfield College as a graduate assistant coach where he mentored the offensive halfbacks and deep kick returners. In 2006, he helped Springfield to the Empire 8 Conference championship and a spot in the NCAA Division III National Playoff "Sweet 16" as the Pride led NCAA Division III in rushing yards per-game. He served Springfield in the same capacity in 2007.
Kelly graduated from Springfield in 2008 with a Master's degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Administration.
