Entering his first season with the King's College football team is assistant coach James Buchman. Coach Buchman comes to King's with a solid background in the sport as both a player and coach.
Buchman was a standout performer at Hazleton Area High School where he was a first-team all-state linebacker in 2001. He was a two-time Wyoming Valley Conference all-star, a two-time All-Anthracite Linebacker of the Year, and was a Big 33 Game nominee. In addition, he was a two-time team captain at Hazleton Area, where he graduated as the Cougars' all-time leading tackler.
Most recently, Buchman was an assistant varsity football coach at Lake Lehman High School from 2010-2013 before becoming the head varsity football coach at Wyalusing Valley High School from 2013-14. He works full-time as a Secondary Social Studies Teacher at Wyalusing.
Coach Buchman is a graduate of Penn State University where he majored in Psychology and Sociology. He will coach the tight ends and offensive line at King's.
