Mike Weick is a new addition to the Monarch coaching staff where he will work with the middle linebackers. He comes to King’s as an intern assistant coach.
Weick is a 2010 graduate of McDaniel College where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physical education, graduating with a 3.7 GPA.
During his career at McDaniel, Weick played in 33 games and was a two-time All-Centennial Conference all-star at linebacker. He was a 2009 pre-season Division III All-American and served as team captain as a senior, earning team defensive most valuable player honors.
As a junior, he led the Centennial Conference with 123 total tackles, ranking sixth nationally in NCAA Division III; and was second in the conference in 2009 with 87 total stops.
Weick graduated fifth in McDaniel history with 299 total tackles; fourth with 134 solo tackles; seventh with 165 assisted tackles, and 16th in program history with 24.5 tackles for loss.
As a student-aide at McDaniel, Weick began prepping for a coaching career as he worked in the football office where gained experience in film breakdown and recruitment organization.
