Entering his second year on the King's staff is inside linebacker coach Ryan Wehmeyer.
Wehmeyer came to King’s in 2010 after serving as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II power East Stroudsburg University. At ESU, Wehmeyer served as coach of the team’s wide receivers while earning a Master of Science degree in Sports Management.
At a collegiate player, Wehmeyer was a four-year letterman at Middle Atlantic Conference rival Widener University at both wide receiver and defensive back. Additionally, he was a two-year letterman in baseball. Wehmeyer received a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting from Widener in December, 2003.
During his collegiate football career, Wehmeyer was a two-year starter and helped the squad to three MAC championships and a pair of NCAA Division III National Playoff berths. In 2000, he helped Widener reach the “Final Four” where the team fell to perennial national power Mount Union College.
Wehmeyer then served four seasons (2004-07) as an assistant football coach at Blair Academy where he mentored the wide receivers and secondary while handling co-offensive coordinator duties. He would then move to another MAC rival in Delaware Valley College where he coached the outside linebackers for one year. Wehmeyer helped the Aggies to a 2008 MAC co-championship as well as an ECAC title.
