After a highly successful playing career for the Monarchs, Tommy Gilmore returned to his alma mater and shifts to a coaching role with the Monarchs ahead of the 2022 season. Gilmore completed his third season on the King's coaching staff at the conclusion of the 2024 season as the linebackers coach.

Four-year member of the Monarchs football team, including a three-year starter at free safety
Honored as a Single Digit Tough member of the program for student-athletes who embody commitment, excellence, hard work, dedication and willingness to sacrifice for the good of the King's College football team
