Entering his second year with the the King's coaching staff for the 2014 season is assistant coach Tyrone Young. Coach Young serves as King's secondary coach and is also the team's recruiting coordinator.
Young came to King's from Kentucky Christian University where he served as Director of Football Operations & Recruiting Coordinator and was also the Assistant Running Backs Coach. There he oversaw a number of day-to-day aspects of the football program, including the team's budget, team travel, player recruitment, and football camps. As a position coach, he worked with the team's running backs and provided technique instruction and assisted in game-planning.
Previously, he was and Assistant Varsity Football Coach, J.V. and freshmen team Defensive Coordinator at East Carter High School in Kentucky. Young played semi-professional football for six years, playing for the Hardin County Wolverines, Louisville Bulls, Derby City Thunder, and Kentucky Warriors.
Young is a 2012 graduate of Kentucky Christian University where he was a member of the football team, playing linebacker, as well as offensive and defensive line. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Sports Management emphasis.
