Ben Markison enters his first season as as assistant coach with the King's College men's and women's cross country and track and field teams. He will serve as a graduate assistant coach.
Markison is a 2016 graduate of Monmouth College where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Business.
He ran track at Monmouth all four years, primarily as a 400m sprinter, but also competed in the 100m, 200m, long jump, triple jump, 400m hurdles, and relays. Markison was part of seven men's team Midwest Conference championships (4 Indoor, 3 Outdoor) while at Monmouth. He was also a four-time conference champion in relays and had several other top-eight finishes.
As a sophomore and a senior, he traveled to nationals as an alternate for 4x400m. As a senior, Monmouth's men's team finished 4th and 3rd overall at nationals for indoor and outdoor respectively.
Now at King's, Markison is working towards his Master's degree in Healthcare Administration.
