Perez continues his tenure as an assistant coach for the Monarchs, a career that started at King's in 2013 for two seasons before rejoining the staff in 2017 under Adam Healey. A career assistant, Perez began his coaching in 1989 at his alma mater of De La Salle High School in Concord, CA. Perez is a USA Wrestling Bronze Level coach, having worked with USA Wrestling Team Ichiban and Golden State Wrestling. After moving to Pennsylvania in 2000, Perez began as an assistant at Dallas High School from 2004 to 2012 before starting his tenure at King's in 2013 under legendary head coach Ned McGinley, assisting as well with the USA Monarch Wrestling Club. Perez returned to Dallas HS for two seasons, before coming back to King's in 2017.
