Biography

Ahead of his first season as the head of the King's College wrestling program, Head Coach Christian Mazzocchi has announced the addition of Stephen Turner to the 2023-24 coaching staff.

Turner will be very involved in the day-to-day operations of practices whether planning them, running them, or drilling with the student-athletes. Turner will be instrumental in the recruitment of local high school talent as well building on relationships with surrounding communities. He completed his second season with program as the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign.Personal
  • 2016 graduate of Wilkes University with a degree in earth and environmental science with a minor in environmental policy.
  • Four-year member of the Colonels wrestling program with a 53-42 overall record. Individual highlights include:
    • Most falls at The Red Dragon Invitational (2011)
    • 7th-place finish at the Messiah Open (2014)
    • 2nd-place finish at the Will Abele Invite (2014)
    • 1st-place finish at the Will Abele Invite (2015)
    • Compiled a 4-1 record at the NWCA National Duals.
  • Helped the Colonels to four straight seasons ranked within the top 25 of the NCAA Division III NWCA Rankings:
    • 18th in 2011-12
    • 19th in 2012-13
    • 12th and East Region Team Champions in 2013-14
    • 11th in 2014-15
  • Works as a GIS Analyst for Precise Visual Technologies.
  • Native of Plains, Pa. and graduate of James M. Coughlin High School.
