Biography

Ross Bowsher enters his second year as the Director of Sports Performance in 2025-26 after joining the King's athletics staff in August 2024.
Previous Coaching Experience
  • Physical Education Teacher / Director of Sports Performance, Pennsauken High School (2022-24).
    • Managed the two-million dollar Pennsauken High School field house, teaching four daily 90-minute sports performance classes for athletes.
    • Two-time NJHSAA playoff football team and Olympic Conference chapionships and NJHSAA playoff baseball team and 2023 Olympic Conference Champions.
    • Developed several male and female wrestlers that advanced to Olympic Conference and NJHSAA wrestling post seasons.
  • Team Strength and Conditioning Coach, National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) (2018-19).
    • Led team strength training sessions for the DC Spirit.
    • Collected team Catapult GPP date and speed analysis.
  • Director of Football Sports Performance, Kent State (2016-17).
    • Developed five All-MAC players in 2016, including two First Team recipients.
    • Team defeated bowl-contending programs in Central Michigan and Buffalo during their MAC schedule.
    • Had the top-ranked passing defense in the MAC and top-five rushing offense.
    • Developed four All-MAC players in 2017, including one First Teamers.
    • Overall, developed four players who went on to play in the NFL and Canadian Football League.
  • Director of Strength and Conditioning, Arkansas Tech University (2014-16).
    • Responsible for the Strength and Conditioning program for 300 student-athletes and 10 teams.
    • Football qualified for two NCAA Division II post-season appearances and were the champions of the Heart of Texas Bowl and the GAC Conference. The team was an NCAA Division II top-10 rushing offense and defense in 2014-15, top-25 total defense and offense in 2015, and fifth-ranked rushing offense.
    • Developed 18 All-GAC players in two seasons, including the 2015 GAC Defensive Player of the Year and NCAA Division II tackles leader Logan Gentz.
    • Won the GAC All-Sports Trophy in 2014 and 2015 that is awarded to the best overall athletic program in the conference via a win-loss record.
  • Coordinator of Football Strength and Conditioning (Offensive and Defensive Linemen), Head Sports Performance Coach (Baseball and Track & Field/Throws), Purdue University (2011-14).

    • Football qualified for two NCAA Division I FBS Bowl Games (2011 Little Caesars Bowl Champions and 2012 Heart of Dallas Bowl participants).
    • Developed over 20 players who went on to play in the NFL, including future NFL players Ryan Kerrigan, Kawan Short, Ryan Russell, Bruce Gaston, Kevin Pamphile, Denis Kelley, Nick Mondex, Jason King, and Robert Cluger (current New England Patriots Offensive Line Coach).
    • Baseball won the 2012 Big 10 Championship title and reached the NCAA Super Regionals.
    • Track & Field won five Big 10 Championship titles, including Big 10 champion throwers Chukwuebuke Cornnell Enekwechi and Dani Buch.
    • Worked under former San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles Head Strength and Speed Coach Duane Carlisle.  
  • Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, Butler University (2006-11).
    • Highlights include 2009 Pioneer League Football Champions, 2009 Grid Iron Classic Bowl Champions.
    • Helped a Hall of Fame Strength and Speed Coach develop a program and culture that won three Pioneer League Football Championships from 2009-13 and made three appearances in the NCAA FCS postseason.
    • Basketball reached the 2010 and 2011 NCAA Final Fours under current Boston Celtics President Brad Stevens and reached the 2010 NCAA National Championship game vs. Duke.
    • Volleyball won the 2007 Horizon League Conference Championships and advanced to the NCAA post-season tournament.
    • Baseball qualified for the 2010 NCAA post-season Horizon League Tournament and worked under Hall of Fame Strength Coach Jim Peal.

  • 2002 graduate of Vincennes and 2006 graduate of University of Indianapolis with a degrees in kinesiology in sports management.
  • Was a member of the NJCAA baseball team at Vincennes from 2000-02 then the NCAA Division I University of Tennessee - Martin from 2003-04.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Adaptive Physical Education from West Chester University.
