KING'S WRESTLERS DOWN MUHLENBERG, 27-12

ALLENTOWN -- The King's College wrestling team won its second straight match as the Monarchs posted a 27-12 victory over host Muhlenberg College Thursday in Allentown.

King's won six of the 10 matches and picked up nine bonus points to improve to 5-7 in dual meets while Muhlenberg slipped to 3-3.

King's jumped out to a 9-0 lead as Rich Dorsey (8-7) opened the match with an 11-9 decision at 125 while defending Division III national champion David Morgan (16-1) scored a pin in just 0:43 for the Monarchs.

After the Mules posted two straight decisions to cut the lead to 9-6, Taylor Green (8-1) gave King's a 14-6 advantage with a technical fall victory at 157. After Muhlenberg scored another decision at 165, King's Lewis Snover would pick up a forfeit at 174 while Mike Reilly (11-1) moved up a weight class to post a major decision at 184 to stretch the Monarch lead to 24-9. Justin Bender (3-2) would pick up King's final win at 285 with an impressive 3-2 victory over defending Centennial Conference champion and 2007 NCAA qualifier Joe Tarter..

King's returns home on Saturday when the Monarchs host a quadrangular match with York College, New York University, and Gettysburg College beginning at 10:00 a.m. in Scandlon Gymnasium.
