MEN'S SOCCER TO HOST WILKES IN CRUCIAL CONFERENCE MATCH UP
WILKES-BARRE, -- At 7:00 tonight, the King's College men's soccer team will be hosting conference and cross-town rival Wilkes University. On the season, the Monarchs are 11-1-3 overall and are currently 1-1-2 in Freedom Conference action. The Colonels are 8-6 overall and stand at 4-1 in conference play.
The Monarchs' offense is lead by senior forward
Cameron Audette. So far in 2008, Audette has scored 17 goals and six assists for 40 points, placing him 7th in the Division III standings through October 19th.
Mark Timko is also an offensive threat, scoring five goals and four assists for 14 points. Freshman Joe Bender is playing balanced soccer, tallying four goals and four assists for 12 points.
Billy Elliott rounds out the scoring threat with four goals and two assists for 10 points.
In the net for King's, sophomore
Tim Kelly has played in 1,050 minutes making 45 saves and carries a scant 1.1 goals against average.
On the offensive side of the ball, Wilkes is paced by Greg Miller, who has scored six goals and one assist for 13 points. Bret Osswald stands at second on the team, earning four goals and one assist. In the net, TJ Baloga has played in 1,267 minutes and made 51 saves.
