Volleyball Falls to 24th Ranked Eastern

KING'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO 24th RANKED EASTERN, 3-0

ST. DAVID'S -- The host Eastern University women's volleyball team showed why it is ranked 24th nationally in Division III and top-seeded in next week's Freedom Conference playoffs as the Eagles posted a 3-0 victory over visiting King's College Wednesday in St. David's.

With the win, Eastern improved to 27-1 on the year while standing 8-0 in Freedom Conference play. King's, meanwhile, slipped to 20-8 and 4-4 in league play.

King's was led by Danielle Belfanti with 18 digs, seven service points, and one ace. Kat Clerici added five kills and four blocks while Katie Doss tallied five kills and four digs. Samantha Garrigues dished out 16 assists while Kaitlyn Malshefski chipped in with four kills, six digs, and two block assists. 

King's will close out the regular-season Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. home match against Albright College on Senior Day.
