King's Volleyball Downs Alvernia 3-1

KING'S VOLLEYBALL DOWNS ALVERNIA, 3-1
    
READING -- The King's College women's volleyball team picked up an important 3-1 Freedom Conference victory over host Alvernia College Tuesday night in Reading.

King's, which won by scores of 25-20, 25-21, 24-26, 25-21, improved to 15-6 overall and 3-2 in Freedom Conference play. Alvernia, meanwhile, fell to 4-13 overall and 0-4 in league games

The Lady Monarchs were led by Kat Clerici with 13 kills and four total blocks. Samantha Garrigues dished out 27 assists, 13 service points, and three aces. Danielle Belfanti registered 21 digs, seven service points, and three aces. Katie Doss tallied seven kills and seven digs. Kaitlyn Malshefski posted six kills and 10 digs while Tanya Rabenold chipped in with 17 service points and four aces.

King's will be idle until October 15 when the Lady Monarchs travel to Purchase, NY to face Manhattanville College.
