King's Women Split With Cabrini, College of Notre Dame

WOMEN'S SWIM TEAM SPLITS TRI-MEET WITH CABRINI, COLLEGE OF NOTRE DAME
 
Radnor – The King's College women's swim team split a tri-match Saturday at Cabrini College in Radnor. The Lady Monarchs defeated College of Notre Dame (Md.) 86-26 while falling to Cabrini 86-36. 
 
Becca Smith won the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 12:42:34. Maggie Nealer won the 500 freestyle at 6:03.18 while placing second in the 200 freestyle with a 2:12.45. Amanda Casey was second in the 100 back stroke with a time of 1:13.25 as well as in the 200 backstroke at 2:31.28
 
Susan Hughes was second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:45.86. Caitlin Casey was second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:10.12.
 
Additionally, Alisha Wainwright broke the school record in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:52.367, besting the previous time of 2:53.67 by Christy Rossowski in 2007.
 
King's team of Susan Hughes, Wainwright, Casey, and Casey Cloman were second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:10.03. The Lady Monarch squad of Cloman, Hughes, Schmader, and Nealer were second in the 200 freestyle relay at 11:53.31.

King's will next travel to face Elizabethtown College Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in Elizabethtown.
